I think one always has to take PR claims with a few grains of salt (yes, including Canon's). As always, I'll wait for the reviews to come out before making any judgements, but I'm afraid unless Nikon does something about their lack of ultra-long primes with VR and their lack of any usable PC lenses, I'm going to be a Canon convert (if / when I go DSLR).

she need to request her passport back and can travel back on AP if it is urgent.
VO has given back all the documents back to her including passport, when my wife said she has travel plans to go back early.
My concern is when the administrative processing is completed, then how do we get the passport stamped or is there a way to withdraw the visa application.

I have applied for my H1 extension in July 2010 and still waiting for the approval. My in-laws are visiting the US in dec and i am sponsoring their visit. Should my H1B be approved before they appear for the Visa interview or should the H1 receipt notice be enough? Please let me know.

There is no such rule that you should have an approved H1B in hand. However you never know the kind of immigration officer your in-laws/parents see at the embassy. If it is not too urgent wait till your H1B is approved. If it is urgent just write a letter stating the facts accompanied by a copy of your old H1b, new H1B receipt notice and a letter of continued employment from your employer. Yes include other documents like paystubs, past tax returns and etc.

Is there any risk in rescheduling a fingerprinting appt? I am travelling when the appointment is currently scheduled for:(. Does that impact the overall processing times of 485/EAD/AP?
With an travel plans that you can attach asking for a later date for the FP. If possible give them the possible dates you will be arriving back and request a date after that. Make sure in your absense somebody is available to pick up your FP notice from the mailbox. Send your request as early as possible with a delivery confirmation and/or signature requried so you have a track of whether your letter made it to them in time just in case..

Company A can not by law press any charges for the filing fees of H1B petition but they might go after you to pay for other costs in case you have agreed to pay for attorney fees.

My wife did call the National Customer Service Center and opened a service request too. But we have not heard anything yet. We tried getting an infopass appointment but none is available in our area. We will try it again tomorrow. I am kind of surprised how this can happen because in the USCIS database, approval of derivative application requires a check on primary application approval first. Today, my friend told me that there is new policy prohibiting employees from paying the H1B application fees for their employers. Has someone heard about this policy? If so, would you please provide me some more details on the issue? Where could I find the policy?
I have got two offers. Both the employers are willing to help me apply for H1B, but I need to pay all the fees by myself. I think that is ok for me. Based on your approved I-140 if you are eligible to file 485 or get EAD then he can also get EAD.
But using only approved I-140 , then only the beneficiary can get extended.
